SOMA was established in 2006 to expand the art of fusion belly dance in South Africa. We are based in Cape Town and do travel for functions and workshops nationally and internationally.
This particular style has its routes in the ancient North African, Gypsy and Arabic belly dance forms, with strong influences from Spanish and Indian dance. This creates a rich, deep feel to this graceful dance.
